Vinha da Bouça, Alvarinho won another Gold Medal at the 2019 edition of the Alvarinhos al Mundo international competition, held in Zurich, Switzerland. The prize awarded to the 2015 harvest is the fourth Gold Medal that Vinha da Bouça has won in this competition, after those awarded to the 2011, 2013 and 2016 harvests. In a previous competition, held in the Netherlands, the Vinha do Cuco, Alvarinho-Loureiro, 2015 won the Grand Gold Medal.
The Alvarinhos al Mundo competition only accepts wines from the Alvarinho grape variety and is always held outside the Iberian Peninsula. The more than 100 wines in the competition are evaluated by an international panel, which usually includes members with the Master of Wine.
